NOTHING IS SO USEFUL

NOTHING IS SO USEFUL

DSC00001.jpgThere is noone ‘home’ but we are always referencing our presumed living status. This referencing and referring, is beseeching a false presence of person; the world is seemingly revolving around us when in reality it isn’t. We don’t exist. At least exist as far as whom we ‘think’ we are.

DSC00003.jpgThe pervasiveness is so consistent and thorough we can’t See it. It is as if we are actually alive. An alive and living fairy tale.

The thoughts are complicit in the orchestration of the false self. Conditioning prescribes the below the consciousness doing of it all. Each thought in it’s inimitable way, has a signature of referencing back to ‘us’.
When in fact, there never was an ‘us’.

DSC00010.jpgThoughts are important as far as maintaining the illusion. If thoughts cease, it is a major step backwards for the ego/mind. Sustainability is threatened. Hence, the thoughts keep coming and we welcome them because they make us feel good because the false ideas of whom we think we are, are enhanced or degraded, depending on the type of thoughts we generate.

Thoughts mean shit to a tree. We do not like to hear that, because there is that part of us that needs it, even now. Thoughts give false comfort and they are addictive.

DSC00036.jpgIt’s not that thoughts are bad. It just that they are being misused and misapplied, to evoke an identity that cannot exist. However, our belief system carries us over that threshold.

DSC00039.jpgCan we clearly see the subterfuge of what is really going on?!

What we are left with is nothing, if thoughts cannot command an identity. Yes?

DSC00042.jpgHmmmmm. Yes. A resounding yes.

Nothing, doesn’t sound like it will get us in the upper classes of the elite and give us the swagger of ‘more’ is better.

Nothing is It. It is too much, this nothing, to bear. We may feel so empty?

DSC00017.jpgEmptying the container that is full of nonsense and the deadness of overthinking, is not bad. The fulfillment of nothing is the starting point of everything. Can we See ‘that’?

‘Nothing’ cannot easily start if we fill ourselves up with delusion and illusion and trance states of nonsense. Nothing demands nothing. It is so funny.

The usefulness of ‘nothing’ bears no resemblance to what we think is useful.
Our need for a false Id bears this out.

DSC00016.jpgLetting go of the pretense is enormous. Our minds counter that move with . . . “What will we do and how would we manage all the jazz (that we thought we needed to control, to make work, and to facilitate the events that presumably needed our input)”.

An example given by our bodies, may underscore the necessity of engagement with ‘nothing’ as the implicit identity.

DSC00011.jpgOur collective bodies do everything perfectly. This includes moving the body through obsolescence due to the aging of a temporary vehicle. For anyone to suggest that their judgment can supplant the body’s, is just preposterous. We have 100 billion neurons and their specific pathways for those neurons, in our brain. There is no way anyone has any sufficiency to supplant and undertake this task, even with the aid of Craig computers.

But we counter with our working hypothesis (our beliefs), that we have and can continue to do better than the unnameable, attribute-less system that is in situ, in our bodies and our life, in general.

So how is that working for us as a planet, a world, a nation, or as a city called Chicago? Dystopia is ubiquitous. Mercy, mercy little me.

To suggest that ‘Nothing’ is more useful than our ego-driven selfish limited ideas is to ‘See’ and understand the immediate Reality that surrounds and sustains us WITHOUT LEAVING A TRACE.

We, with all of our science and technology, cannot find “The Cause” of the universe. We are still dabbling in a lot of formative theory with understanding morphing significantly from recent past.

Leaving no trace except the residue of the intelligent harmony and perfectness in both the microcosm as well as the macrocosm, speaks to the power of ‘Nothingness’.

The brilliance of ’Nothingness’ is that it is not a thing. Attributelessness is ’Nothingness’. Limitation has attributes.

All the above, underscores the subtle power of Everything called ‘Nothing’.

The Tao that can be named is not the Tao.
Be ’that’, effortlessly. The Formless is whom we really Are at all times and venues. To invent form is to degrade ourselves to a lesser state. Our nature is permanent.

Thoughts are impermanent and insufficient to sustain Self or body. Thoughts, whether in meditation or in the daily grind of life are not the guide that should determine whom we really Are. Our stubbornness is not a good reason to go on with the junk status of our identity.

Seeing clearly, the vagaries of mind, is the ticket to divestment from any thought that disturbs the Peace and Silence that Is Us. Ownership of Whom we Are is always up to us and our discrimination.

“Let go of your constant strife to sustain and assert the idea of who you are. It is this massive effort of defining your identity that keeps you wedged in the chronic routine of comparisons and conflicts with whoever and whatever appears to threaten this idea. If you have tried to assert yourself for many years and you have accomplished nothing, then be honest and do something different. Just be nothing. Try it for one day. Release your idea of being yourself, and just be nothing, be the void. And as you are being nothing you may realize that you can be all that is”
― Franco Santoro
